MacOS Sierra + iOS 10.0.1

Hold Off On Updating to Sierra

With each new release of an operating system (OS) we recommended that clients hold off on updating until we feel that Apple had released a more stable version. With the release macOS Sierra we will be taking a look at how this OS works with current applications. If your company is interested in finding out if macOS Sierra will work with your current applications please contact us before moving forward with the update. Over the next few weeks we will be contacting you to schedule updates and discussing how CirrusPro will handle these updates in the future.

For iPhone and iPad users if you’ve already updated your device to iOS 10, or if you’ve recently purchased the new iPhone 7 (or the larger variant, the 7+), we ask that you check your device to confirm that you’re running iOS 10.0.1. You can find out what version of iOS your device is currently running by going into Settings > General > About. Halfway down the screen you’ll see Version listed and what iOS your is currently running on your iPhone or iPad.

To update to iOS 10.0.1, go into the Settings > General > Software Update. Note: iOS 10.0.1 will run on all iPhones as far back as the 5 and newer, and on all iPads as far back as the 4th generation and the iPad Mini 2. We do strongly recommend backing up your iPhone or iPad before applying any update.

If you have any questions regarding the update process, please do not hesitate to contact us at Email Us (Cirrus Partners) for assistance.
