Microsoft Office AutoUpdates

Updates tend to apply fixes and security patches. However, in the latest update of Microsoft Office for Mac comes with a crippling problem after installing the update, labeled “14.5.0”.  Users on OS X 10.10 Yosemite have reported that the Outlook windows refuse to appear making them unable to send or receive email.

Microsoft will release an update to address these issue. Until then we recommend that you don’t update your Microsoft Office applications. We also suggest that you confirm that automatic updates are disabled.

You can check this by going to “Help (in the main toolbar) > Check for Updates” in any Microsoft program on your Mac.
