Benjamin Morales, Partner & CEO
Benjamin fell into IT almost by accident. His earliest obsessions were philosophy and literature, but throughout college, he developed an appreciation for the similarities between natural language and mathematics.
During his college days, he was responsible for building and maintaining several websites, leading to an interest in web development and technical systems.
He lives in the space between theory and praxis, and he has found that IT consulting strikes a nice balance between the two.
When he began teaching out of college, his background in computing and his humanities degree positioned him to drift freely between subjects. While he was primarily a history and English teacher, he also taught courses in physical science, computational thinking, biology, hacking, and algebra. After school, he ran a maker’s club that focused on physical computing in Python, and he provided remedial tutoring in mathematics with an historical approach to numbers.
At Cirrus, Benjamin leads the strategic and technical direction of the organization. He lives in the space between theory and praxis, and he has found that IT consulting strikes a nice balance between the two. During his time, he has focused on grounding technical operations in Lean Six Sigma principles and emphasizing the five dimension of SERVQUAL in service delivery.
When not working, Benjamin spends his time enjoying the company of his lovely wife, Rachel, and their son. A native of the Pacific Northwest, he loves good coffee, mountains, and mellow, rainy days.
